Spiraling costs of petrol has prompted the Korean car maker to introduce an LPG version of the EON which is expected to be launched in India in mid 2012. The LPG variant is currently undergoing tests at the plant of the company near Chennai.
EON is proving to be tough competition for the Maruti Alto and also the cheapest car in the world, Tata Nano.
